It seems the heavens are smiling at me… December 2, 2008

Because David Ker, over at Lingamish, has decided to hand out Lingy awards…and he thought me worthy enough for mention! I don’t think I deserve the attention of such an eminent blogger, but I appreciate it. I’m supposed to display this badge:

David seemed to appreciated my ecclectic range of subjects (he mentions kissing – is that a recent post?), and a devotional that I wrote that he liked. Ah, and he also liked my title. Thanks for the link, the complements, and the encouragement, David!

And further evidence that the heavens are smiling upon me was photographed from my balcony last night:

All in all, it’s been a good day.

Hooray for a happy smiley moon! My very mediocre little camera wouldn’t capture it so nicely, so I appreciated your picture :) .

One r in Ker and all in the heavens will be smiling. I’ve enjoyed recent interactions and that blog title is one of the best I’ve seen.

Your name is corrected, David. My apologies. And thanks again :) . Especially on the blog title ;) .

I see Mr. Ker is succeeding in publicizing his own blog by handing out awards.

I’m joking of course. I think your blog is one of the most interesting out there. I want to try to comment more here.

Somehow I neglected to put you in my blogroll until now.

Mr. Ker doesn’t really need to publicise, does he? He’s far too popular for his own good ;) . Thanks, Jeff.

Congratulations! Keep up the good work.

Jeff, you turkey. I’d give you a Lingy if you ever wrote anything. Gone are the days when you published several posts per day…

8. Scripture Zealot - December 3, 2008

Mr. Ker, although I am a turkey you may have me confused with someone else (TC?). I’ve always limited my posting to 1 per day maximum so that people have time to read and comment. I’ve been in a bit of a blogging slump lately but these things come and go. As you can see here my post average as of October was 5.6 per week which is obviously ideal. As far as the content of my posts that leaves something to be desired compared with Damian.

Sorry Damian but I needed to address this so that my reputation among the 9 people who read my blog wouldn’t be tarnished.

Jeff, that’s a good strategy. And I tagged you on the Tweet Creed meme. Are you a non-meme type? Finally, yes, you’ve correctly uncovered my sneaky plan to increase my own technorati rank through hapless victims. Buwahaha.

Jeff, feel free to chat away. I don’t mind. I would have loved to have heard your take on the creed – and also, Nick Norelli’s. But neither of you picked up the baton.

11. ScriptureZealot - December 3, 2008

Oh no. I haven’t seen the meme. As much as I hate them I always grudgingly participate if tagged. Could you please direct me to it?
Jeff

Ahhh, the meme in question was David’s Tweet Creed Meme. His original post was here. There’ve been a lot of interesting reactions to it.

I remember that post now but don’t remember seeing my name. I was thinking, boy that sounds really hard, I’m not even going to try that one. Now I have to. I’m going to tell myself it’s a good exercise while I’m sweating through it.

I’m tempted to use LOLCat language/spelling (don’t even mention that to Nick!) but I couldn’t do that with anything related to God.

It is a difficult one, I admit. I’m not particularly happy with what I came up with. But it’s certainly a good exercise is expressing and distilling the faith.

Mine is coming to a blog near you on December 3rd.
